Okay I haven’t done a Grab Bag post in a long time, mostly because I’m learning that one thing at a time seems to have more impact… but just now I’m experiencing a deluge of interesting things that I want to share with you—things that I don’t feel necessarily require involved blurbs.
So here is Grab Bag 5, in which I include only five links instead of the usual ten, and I’m not sure whether it will or won’t be the last Grab Bag ever….
1. In an article that questions our understanding of capacity and latent capability, BBC poses the question “Is there a Genius in All of Us?”.
If these guys were more into blogging than they were art galleries, they would have a serious meme on their hands.
Is that the only difference between internet humor and an art exhibition—where you put it? In any case, it’s way better than my “don’t understand” series.
3. “Mag+, a concept video on the future of digital magazines”. This video is especially impressive when you realize that it came out before the iPad was readily available:
4. Here’s a video that was sent to me with such comments as “That is so cool!” and “I can’t believe it’s not CG!”. It really is something.
5. And finally: from Stephanie (our contributor, and someone who happens to proofread for a large romance publisher), this parody romance novel: “The Unfeasibly Tall Greek Billionaire’s Blackmailed Martyr-Complex Secretary Mistress Bride”. Please note that I am rating it NC-17 because it parodies every aspect of a typical romance novel.
