There are 29 minutes left of Valentine’s Day, a day beloved by the media and dreaded by many justly irritated consumers. I have no attachment to this day above any other, but nonetheless I made my shiny new husband some heart-shaped grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup (it’s red) for din-dins.
He made me some fluffy hearts. He has been experimenting a lot with 3D modeling lately (with Blender), for he has the heart of a cartoonist and the brains of a real live scientist.
This is what the accompanying email said (he doesn’t mind me sharing):
I could draw for you a piece of original artwork, but I have instead opted to download some open-source 3D rendering software, and follow a tutorial on volumetric shading… for the sake of your love.
HAPPY ❤ DAY!
LOOK AT THE FLUFFY HEART CLOUDS!
I guess this is what contemporary creativity looks like on Valentine’s Day.
