My husband has been teaching himself 3D animation (and modeling and rigging and texturing and simulations—and, clearly, all the jargon). He’s been working on his portfolio and preparing a demo reel. Below are two videos: “Trio Animiato” and a bit some behind-the-scenes footage about rigging one of the characters.
Husband mine made everything in that video. He even wrote the music, and he’s singing all the parts, ha!
He used Blender, an open-source 3D animation program (the open-source sister of Maya). If you’re feeling brave, you can try it out yourself.
A last word: my apologies for being away from this blog for so long. It’s been months, and I’ve been mired in intense but engaging school work. Thank goodness for my egg puns post; it’s the lifeblood of this blog (especially right around now: Easter time).
