This is the fourth installment of extracts from Chloë’s Grade-Three Language Arts Notebook, in which seven-year-old Chloë explores the dynamics of inter-species friendships.
There’s just something so macabre about a chicken cooking eggs for a fox. I’m not sure I understood all the nuances as a child.
As for the bear saving the shark from the boat (yes, that’s a boat), the logistics are a mystery to me. I suppose that’s alright, though, given that the chart was meant to be a writing prompt (I’m guessing).
And the alligator and the human… well, they just like each other.
